Undergraduate and graduate students from Boston University's Film and Television Department are regularly seeking talent for their creative projects.
We invite actors of all ages and ethnicities to join our network and create a profile. (Please note - although this site is intended to be used by students of BU's Department for Film and Television for their projects, it is a public site and can be accessed by outside parties.)

If you are a BU student seeking talent for your production, simply follow the steps below to create a profile. You do not need to include a resume in your profile. For the Frequently Asked Questions section, please scroll down.

FOR ACTORS
CREATING A PROFILE: Please include your headshot, resume and any video clips or links to your work.

IN REGARDS TO PHOTOS, please only include photos that are relevant to an acting profile, i.e., headshots and production stills from film, tv, or theatre work. Photos of you and your friends hanging out are not appropriate for this site.

IN REGARDS TO YOUR RESUME, you can paste your resume into the text box provided on your page. You may need to tweak the formatting a bit after you paste it. The bold and italics tools can help you to distinguish the different aspects of your resume. If you already have your own website that includes your resume, simply include your website address.

Films created by Boston University students have been shown in film festivals around the country and world.

SOME TIPS FOR CREATING A PROFILE:
Be sure to go to your settings to determine whether you would like your profile to be seen by:

-ONLY members of the Boston University Casting Ning Community (those who join this community)

-anyone who goes to the site

-ONLY your friends on the site. (We don't recommend choosing this option because it will really limit who can see your profile in terms of casting.)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
If I am an actor/actress, how will a director get in touch with me?

They can write on your wall. Or, if you are friends with them within the Boston University Casting site, they can email you directly at your BU Casting email address.

Will I need to keep checking my profile to see if anyone is trying to get in touch with me?

Like Facebook, in your settings, you are able to include an email address that will then receive notifications any time someone writes on your wall, emails you, or if any general announcements are sent. So, as long as you regularly check the email address you have included in your settings, you will be aware when folks are trying to contact you or if there are any general casting notices, etc.

If I am a BU student, how can I let BU Casting members know about auditions?

You can simply email your audition announcement to the Film/TV office and it will then be sent out to the entire community and will be posted on the homepage of the site.

How can I get in touch with specific actors to audition for my projects?

You can write directly on their wall. Or, if you are friends with them within the BU Casting site, you can email them directly at their BU Casting email address.

Is there a way that I can do a specific talent search based on certain criteria?

Yes! You can search by name, age range, gender and/or union affiliation. Simply go to the members' tab and click on "advanced search". Then simply click on the boxes to specify what you are looking for and click the "Search" button. To search for a specific name, enter the name in the text box provided.
